SeatGeek has launched an app inside ChatGPT that lets you search for game and concert tickets by typing a question. The company says it is the first ticket marketplace to show both box office tickets and resale tickets together in ChatGPT.
What changed
Primary tickets come from the official box office. Resale tickets are sold by people who already bought them. These have long been treated as separate channels. Vivid Seats and StubHub already have ChatGPT apps, but SeatGeek says its mix of both kinds is new.
You can ask in plain language, such as for the cheapest seat at a game, a better view for a concert, or family-friendly options for a weekend event. SeatGeek says results include a Deal Score, view-from-seat images and seat-perk details. The purchase is still finished on SeatGeek's own platform, not inside the chat.
What is not known yet
The announcement does not say what the app costs to use, where it is available, or how Deal Score is worked out. It also does not say whether the full price with fees shows up in the chat. Check the final price before you pay.
SeatGeek also points to earlier AI efforts, including Google's AI search experience and a Spotify integration.
The takeawayUse the ChatGPT app to compare official and resale tickets, but confirm the full price on SeatGeek before you buy.
