Netflix will take 52 movies off its service on November 1, 2026. The list includes Speed, Selma, Nightcrawler and The Warriors. Seven earlier Fast and Furious films are also leaving. Anyone who wants to watch one of them for the cost of a Netflix subscription has until the end of the month.

Why movies leave

Streaming services do not own every movie they show. Many are licensed for a set period. When a licensing deal expires, the movie goes away. Every streaming service goes through this regular turnover. Tom's Guide notes that some of these movies will likely show up on a rival platform, but no new home has been confirmed.

Five to watch first

  • Fast Five (2011): Dom and his crew plan a heist to steal $100 million from a corrupt Brazilian businessman.
  • Nightcrawler: Jake Gyllenhaal plays a petty thief who sells footage of crime scenes to a local news network.
  • Speed: Keanu Reeves must keep a bus above 50 mph or a bomb goes off. It won Best Sound at the 67th Academy Awards.
  • Selma (2014): Ava DuVernay directs the story of the 1965 voting rights marches, with David Oyelowo as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
  • The Warriors: a late 1970s cult classic about a Coney Island gang accused of a crime it did not commit.

The Fast and Furious twist

Netflix recently added The Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the series. A couple of weeks later, the seven films before it are set to leave. That makes a full marathon hard. The two newest films, F9 and Fast X, are on Peacock, not Netflix. For anyone short on time, Tom's Guide picks Fast Five. It is the film that moved the series away from street racing and toward big action, and it often tops fan rankings.

What to do

Decide which titles matter to you and watch them before November 1. After that, expect to look for the movie on another service or pay to rent or buy it. Tom's Guide also published the full list of all 52 titles for anyone who wants to make their own picks. Where each movie goes next has not been announced.

The takeaway

If a movie on Netflix's November 1 removal list is on your watch list, see it before then or plan to find it on another service.
