Google's Pixel phones have six features Samsung could borrow

Android Authority has published a list of six Google Pixel features it thinks Samsung should copy. The piece is titled "These 6 Pixel features prove Samsung still has room to improve." Its short summary is blunt: "Dear Samsung, please take notes."

Who is involved

Pixel is Google's own phone line. Because Google makes Android, the software that runs most non-Apple phones, Pixel phones tend to show new Android features first. Samsung is the best-known Android phone maker in the world, so the choices it makes reach a very large number of buyers.

What is not known yet

The full article was not available for this report. That means the six features are not named here, and nothing below should be read as a description of them. It is also unclear whether Samsung plans to add any of them. Samsung has not been quoted in the material available.

Why it matters

If you are shopping for an Android phone, a list like this can help you decide whether Pixel or Samsung fits you better. It is one outlet's opinion, not a test result or a ruling.

What to do

• Read the original Android Authority piece to see the six features.
• Check which of them you would use every day.
• Compare them with what your current phone already does.
