Google has released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash, an AI tool that makes short videos from your prompts, photos and audio. The price is down 30% from the previous version, to $0.07 per second for 720p video. Clips can also run longer, up to 15 seconds.

What changed

  • Clip length is now 3 to 15 seconds, set in one-second steps. The old limit was 10 seconds.
  • You can draft at 360p or 720p, make follow-up edits, then finish in 1080p or 4K.
  • You can guide the video with images, motion clips and audio, so faces, clothing and brand colors stay consistent.

At the new rate, a full 15-second clip at 720p works out to about $1.05. That makes it cheap to try several versions of a social ad or product clip before paying for a final high-quality render.

What to know before trying it

The coverage points to a learning curve. Owners with little tech experience may find the tool confusing at first, and keeping videos on-brand will take ongoing effort. The article does not say how to get access, when it rolls out, or what 1080p and 4K cost. Those details are worth checking in Google's official post before planning a budget.

The takeaway

AI video just got cheaper and longer, so a small test on one ad is a low-risk way to see if it fits your business.
