Zoho add-on puts customer lists on a map to plan sales visits

A Zoho CRM add-on plots leads, accounts, contacts and deals on a map so field sales teams can group nearby visits into one route and spot clients they might miss.

Zoho has put a spotlight on an add-on called Map My Client Location for Zoho CRM. It shows customer records on a map, so a sales team can see who is nearby and plan a day of visits without hopping between apps.

What it does

Zoho CRM is software where companies keep records of customers and sales. The add-on plots leads, accounts, contacts and deals on one interactive map. Leads are possible customers. Deals are sales in progress. Users can see how records cluster across a city, region or territory.

For visits, users can pick customers in the same area and group them into a multi-stop route. Zoho says this helps fit more meetings into one trip and surfaces nearby clients that are easy to overlook when each record is viewed alone.

  • Works with standard and custom CRM modules, which are sections a company builds for its own data
  • Supports Google Maps, OpenRouteService and OpenStreetMap
  • Helps managers see territory coverage and areas that may need more sales focus

What is not known

The post comes from Zoho's own blog, so it describes benefits and does not share test results. It does not give a price, setup steps or a limit on how many stops a route can hold. Businesses with staff who visit customers should check the Zoho Marketplace listing for those details.

The takeaway

If your team visits customers in person, a map view inside the CRM could save planning time, but check price and setup on Zoho Marketplace first.
