Walmart has combined two of its memberships into one. For $120 a year, you now get both Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus. Bought separately, they cost $218, so the bundle saves you nearly $100. The catch is that you pay the full amount upfront. There is no monthly option and no free trial.

What you get

The price works out to the equivalent of $10 a month. It gives you entry to Sam's Club warehouses and member-only prices on brand-name products and Member's Mark items. You also get free delivery on eligible orders from both stores.

  • Free delivery: scheduled Walmart orders need a $35 minimum cart, and Sam's Club orders need $50.
  • Streaming: pick ad-supported Peacock or Paramount+ and swap between them every 90 days.
  • Gas: 10 cents off per gallon at more than 17,000 participating stations.
  • Rewards: 2% Sam's Cash on eligible purchases, capped at $750 a year.

If you are already a member

Walmart says separate memberships for retail delivery, warehouse shopping and streaming can add up to nearly $400 a year. Existing members get a path to the new plan without starting over.

  • Annual Walmart+ members can switch to the bundle for $22 more per year.
  • Sam's Club Plus members can turn on Walmart+ for free.
  • Regular Sam's Club members can upgrade to Plus for $60 more and get Walmart+ included.

If you already pay for both, link your Walmart+ and Sam's Club accounts. Most eligible members can then receive a prorated Walmart+ refund. You can join, upgrade or link accounts in either store's app or on Walmart's membership page.

Is it worth it

The deal fits people who already shop at both stores, use delivery often and buy in bulk. It also helps if you drive a lot, since the gas discount adds up, or if you would pay for one of the streaming services anyway. If you rarely use these perks, paying $120 in one go may not make sense.

What stays the same

The standalone memberships are still available, so nobody is forced into the bundle. Walmart and Sam's Club employees will also receive the combined membership as a benefit.

The takeaway

If you shop at both stores and would use delivery, gas savings or streaming, the $120 bundle can save money, but check that you will use it before paying upfront.
