Vercel has added eight more web address endings to its free domain offer for Pro teams. Every Pro team can claim one free domain for its first year. The newly eligible endings are .co, .studio, .company, .info, .pro, .live, .digital and .agency. That brings the total to sixteen.

What a domain ending is

A domain is the web address people type to reach a site. The ending, such as .co or .agency, is called a TLD, short for top-level domain. More choices mean more chances to find a name that fits a business.

The fine print

  • The offer covers one domain per team.
  • Premium domains are not eligible.
  • After the first year, the domain renews automatically.
  • Renewal uses the regular price shown at checkout when the domain is claimed.

Domains are claimed at vercel.com/domains. Vercel points to a free domain FAQ for the full list of eligible endings and the complete terms.

What is not clear yet

The announcement does not give the renewal price, since it depends on the domain chosen and is shown at checkout. It also does not list the eight endings that were already eligible before this change. Those details are in the FAQ. Vercel has not said whether more endings will be added later.

The takeaway

Pro teams get one free domain for a year, and it renews automatically at the regular price shown at checkout, so check that price before claiming.
