Vaani AI Research, a speech technology company based in Bengaluru and Singapore, launched a self-serve platform on October 31, 2026. It lets teams build AI agents that talk with customers by voice, including callers who switch languages in the middle of a sentence.

What it does

A team describes the agent it wants, previews its voice, sets what actions it can take, and deploys it. Agents can work on phone calls, websites, apps and WhatsApp. They can keep track of the conversation, use other software tools, and hand a caller to a human team when needed.

Vaani says it built the system while running voice agents for large businesses. It is now offering that same setup to developers, startups and product teams. Companies with special needs can work with Vaani's engineers on custom setups.

Who it is for

The platform is aimed mainly at developers and product teams, not owners who want a ready-made phone assistant. A business that takes many customer calls could still use it through a developer or agency. CEO Tushar Shinde said 75 percent of the world does not mainly speak English, and that most voice AI treats that as an edge case.

What is not known yet

  • Pricing was not shared.
  • The list of supported languages was not given.
  • The performance claims come from Vaani and have not been independently tested.
The takeaway

Vaani's new platform could help businesses answer calls in more languages, but price, language list and real-world results are still unclear.
