Leaks point to a Galaxy Fit 4, Samsung's first new budget fitness band in three years, with a sharper screen and metal case. It may still skip iPhones.

Samsung appears to be getting ready to release the Galaxy Fit 4, a low-cost fitness band that would replace the Galaxy Fit 3 from 2024. Nothing is official yet. Everything below comes from leaks and educated guesses, and no release date or price has been reported.

What the leaks say

  • A rectangular case with a touchscreen and one side button, like the Fit 3.
  • A slightly sharper screen: 258 x 428 pixels, up from 256 x 402.
  • A mostly aluminum case in at least three colors, including black and white.
  • Blue or green likely replaces the Fit 3's pink option.

The screen detail comes from a SammyGuru report that says it previewed an unreleased version of the companion app. The case shape comes from leaked blueprints first shared by Android Authority. The writer at Tom's Guide also expects a brighter screen, but that is a guess.

Health and safety features

Samsung's own documents point to a GH3036 health sensor for continuous heart rate tracking. Insiders also mention new stress tools and automatic workout detection. The Fit 3 offers fall detection, emergency SOS, blood oxygen readings, sleep scores and snore detection, and the Fit 4 is expected to keep them. Its battery is rated at 13 days, and the new one will likely be close.

What is still unknown

Nobody knows yet whether the Fit 4 will add GPS, which tracks your location without a phone nearby, or NFC, which allows tap-to-pay. The Fit 3 has neither. Adding GPS could also drain the battery faster. Sleep apnea detection, found on Samsung's watches but not the Fit 3, is another open question.

Price and who it is for

The Fit 3 launched at $59. It reached the U.S. in winter 2025, after its 2024 global debut. No price rumors exist for the Fit 4. Tom's Guide expects it to cost a little more than the Fit 3 but less than the $99 Fitbit Air. That is an estimate, not a leak.

The biggest catch may be phone support. The Fit 4 may still work only with Android phones. Fitbit trackers work with both Android and iPhone. iPhone owners would likely need to look elsewhere. Android users on a budget may want to wait and compare it with Fitbit options such as the Fitbit Edge.

The takeaway

If you want a cheap band and use an Android phone, wait for official Fit 4 details before buying. iPhone owners may be left out.
