RayNeo, a maker of augmented reality glasses, has started selling in Canada. Prices start at $429 CAD. The glasses are sold online at Staples, Walmart and Best Buy. Two models lead the lineup: the GT MAX, which shows a giant virtual screen, and the iO, which puts translations and notes in front of your eyes.

What the GT MAX does

The GT MAX is built for watching video and gaming. It shows a virtual screen of up to 307 inches, which only you can see. It weighs 78 grams. Tracking keeps the screen steady when you move your head. Sound was tuned with Bang & Olufsen, and a Whisper Mode keeps listening more private.

The glasses come in S, M and L, chosen by the distance between your eyes, to help with fit. They need a compatible device for content and power. RayNeo also sells the Pocket TV Pro separately. It is a Google TV player that runs Netflix and more than 10,000 apps, with up to 5.5 hours of playback.

What the iO does

The iO looks like ordinary eyewear and weighs 33 grams. It has no camera. A small display shows captions, translations and notes. An LED light signals when recording or translation is active.

  • Translates speech in real time across 55 languages
  • Captures meeting notes and action items
  • Suggests calendar updates that you confirm with a head nod
  • Works with iOS and Android, with up to two days of typical use per charge

Who it is for

The GT MAX suits people who travel, commute or want a private screen for movies and games. The iO suits people who sit in many meetings or talk with others in more than one language. RayNeo says it ranked first worldwide in AR smart-glasses shipments in Q1 2026, with a 23.7% share, according to Counterpoint Research.

What to check before buying

The company says some advanced AI services on the iO may need a paid subscription. Streaming on the GT MAX setup needs an internet connection, and streaming subscriptions may apply. Dolby Vision video needs the Pocket TV Pro and compatible content. The release does not say which model costs $429 or what the other models cost. It also does not give subscription prices. Availability varies by retailer, and The Shopping Channel and other stores are listed as coming soon.

The takeaway

Check which model costs what and whether the AI features need a paid plan before you buy.
