A company called MerchantFloor has launched an AI tool that builds a Shopify product listing from one photo and a few notes about the item. The company says it takes under five minutes. The tool is called the Product Listing Agent, and it was announced on Nov. 5, 2026 for small online stores.
What it does and what it costs
You upload a product photo and add short notes. The tool then produces the listing, including images and a description written to show up in search and in AI-powered discovery tools. The company says it sends each task to the AI model best suited to it, rather than using one general model. It points to jewelry as a hard case, where details like gemstone counts and chain styles are easy for AI to get wrong.
- Free trial: 25 credits, enough for five full listings.
- Free-tier images carry a watermark.
- Paid credit packs start at $20, about $1 per listing.
Founder Ash Moosa says a listing took him 60 to 90 minutes by hand when he ran his own store, Outfit Additions.
What is not known yet
The announcement comes from the company itself. It gives no independent test results, so the five-minute claim and the quality of the images are unproven. The step-by-step list of what the agent does did not come through in the material. It also does not say how long paid credits last.
The takeawayIf you sell on Shopify, the free trial lets you test five listings and judge the time savings yourself before paying anything.
