IXOPAY, a Dallas-based payments company, has launched IXO One. It puts the company's separate payment tools into one platform. It also includes tools for a future where AI assistants buy things on a customer's behalf. General availability of the first unified version is planned for early 2027.

What it does

Many merchants that sell across channels, countries and payment methods run a patchwork of providers that handle payments behind the scenes. Adding a new payment method or market can mean a heavy integration project. Switching providers can mean rebuilding large parts of the setup.

IXO One brings IXOPAY's existing products under one portal. Merchants can use ready-made features, build their own, and keep ownership of their provider connections through an Adapter SDK, which is a developer toolkit. Parts can be added or removed later, and providers swapped, without a full rebuild. An assistant called IXO AI lets merchants ask questions about their payment data in plain language.

The AI shopping part

The most forward-looking piece is the Agentic Suite. It is meant for purchases started by AI agents rather than people. It has three parts:

  • Payment Agent: one connection for merchant-owned, IXOPAY-powered and supported third-party shopping agents, instead of one per protocol.
  • Universal Tokens: stored payment data that agents can use without seeing raw card details. Records of the agent's identity, customer consent and purchase intent help with disputes.
  • MCP Server: lets approved AI assistants do authorized payment tasks, checks permissions, keeps API credentials away from the AI client and logs every action.

Why the company says now

IXOPAY's chief executive, Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, says buyers now move between channels, payment methods and countries faster than most payment systems can follow. Analyst firm 451 Research, part of S&P Global, points to payments becoming a boardroom priority and to multi-provider setups becoming common. It also says merchants want to connect to newer models such as agentic commerce and accelerated guest checkout.

IXOPAY also shared its own figures. Its orchestration platform saw an 80 percent year-on-year rise in transaction count to October 2026. It has supported more than USD 200 billion in payment volume since 2018. It connects merchants to more than 200 payment providers and 300 payment methods.

What is not known yet

IXO One will roll out in phases. The announcement mentions a new, flexible commercial model for early 2027 but gives no prices. Until then, new and existing customers can keep buying IXOPAY's orchestration, tokenization and payments intelligence products individually. The material does not say which third-party AI agents are supported.

The takeaway

If you sell online, expect payment providers to start offering safe ways for AI agents to pay, but IXO One's full version and pricing are not due until early 2027.
