Verisk, a company that supplies data and software to insurers, announced on Oct. 28, 2026 that its insurance information will now be available inside three popular AI tools: Amazon Quick, Microsoft Copilot and Claude from Anthropic. Claude already had a Verisk product, and that offering is now expanded.
What changed
Insurers can type questions in everyday language and get answers drawn from Verisk's own data. The material covers underwriting (deciding whether to insure a risk and at what price), premium audits (checking that a business paid the right amount) and weather information for individual properties. Verisk says the aim is to cut research time so staff have more time for customers.
Access is not open to everyone. Verisk says existing permissions and access controls still apply, so only insurers authorized to see its content can use it through these tools.
What is not known yet
- Which insurers are using the new connections
- What the service costs
- When each integration becomes available
- Whether customers will notice faster quotes or claims
The announcement is aimed at insurance professionals, not the public. Verisk's stated goal is helping insurers make informed decisions more efficiently, but it does not promise specific changes for policyholders. Anyone who buys insurance may simply see their insurer use these tools behind the scenes.
The takeawayYour insurer may soon research risk through everyday AI tools, but Verisk has not said how that will change quotes or claims for customers.
