ElevenLabs, a company known for AI voices, says its AI phone agents can now work directly inside four major business call center systems. The agents are called ElevenAgents. They can answer routine calls inside the phone setup a company already uses, rather than forcing the company to replace it.
What changed
ElevenAgents now has built-in connections to NiCE CXone, Genesys Cloud, Amazon Connect and Five9. A contact center is the system that receives, routes and records a company's customer calls. For any other system, ElevenAgents connects over SIP. That is a common standard for carrying phone calls over the internet.
How a call works
The company describes a simple flow. The call center passes context to the agent at the start of the call. The agent checks who the caller is and completes a task, such as rescheduling an appointment or filing a claim. It then logs the result in the company's customer records system.
If the caller asks for a person, the agent hands the call back through the existing routing, with full context. The caller should not have to repeat anything. ElevenLabs says the same agent also works in chat.
Platform by platform
- NiCE CXone: CXone keeps managing phone lines, routing and reporting while ElevenAgents adds voice agents.
- Genesys Cloud: A native Audio Connector means no SIP trunking is required.
- Amazon Connect: Its AI agent can bring in an ElevenAgents agent, then control returns to Amazon Connect.
- Five9: Calls transfer to the agent over SIP. This needs Five9's AI Agent Connect, a paid add-on.
Other systems that support SIP trunking can connect too, including office phone exchanges. ElevenLabs says companies can keep their existing numbers and routing. It also lists support for phone providers such as Twilio, Vonage, Telnyx, Plivo, Bandwidth and Exotel.
Who it affects
This is aimed at larger organizations that already run one of these systems and handle many repetitive calls. ElevenLabs says the agents speak in over 90 languages. Companies can pick from more than 17,000 voices or create their own brand voice. The company says the goal is faster, always-on service, with human staff freed for calls that need a person.
A healthcare customer quoted in the announcement said the native Genesys link was an important factor in choosing ElevenLabs. It let the team build on systems it already used while keeping the security and clinical oversight healthcare requires.
What is not known yet
The announcement does not give prices. It also does not say how many calls the agents resolve on their own, or how they perform in real deployments. The only cost detail is that Five9 customers need its add-on. Businesses that want to try it are pointed to ElevenLabs sales and to each platform's setup guides.
The takeawayIf your business already runs one of these four phone systems, AI call agents can now be added on top without replacing it, though pricing is not public.
