Easyjet now has a plug-in for ChatGPT. You can ask about flights and holidays in a normal conversation and see live availability and pricing. When you are ready to book, the chat sends you to Easyjet's website to finish.
What it does
Customers connect the Easyjet Plugin through the ChatGPT website or mobile app. After that, they can search in plain language instead of filling in a booking form. The tool covers both flights and package holidays.
- Search flights and holidays inside a ChatGPT conversation
- See live availability and pricing
- Check the live status of an Easyjet flight without leaving the chat
What it does not do
You cannot pay in ChatGPT. Bookings are still handled on Easyjet's own websites. The chat is for research and planning, and the purchase happens on the airline's side.
Why Easyjet did it
Easyjet says it saw a sharp rise in visitors arriving from AI searches. Organic traffic from ChatGPT to Easyjet.com for flights is up 400% year on year. Referrals to Easyjet Holidays are up 125% over the same period.
Easyjet also commissioned a summer 2026 survey of 500 UK adult flyers. Of those, 51% have already used AI to plan a trip, and another 17% are considering it. Among people who have used AI for travel planning, 62% used ChatGPT, the most popular choice. Because the airline ordered the survey, treat it as a snapshot rather than a full picture of all travelers.
Ian Chambers, digital director at Easyjet and Easyjet Holidays, said more people are using AI to discover, research and plan trips. He said the plug-in puts the information where customers are choosing to search.
Who it is for
Anyone who already uses ChatGPT to sketch out a trip and wants real prices and flight status without jumping between sites. It also gives Easyjet Holidays, which launched in 2019, another way to reach people. It offers more than 10,000 hotels across over 100 destinations in Europe and North Africa.
What is not known yet
The material does not say whether the plug-in costs anything, which countries or languages it works in, or whether a particular ChatGPT plan is needed. It also does not say whether booking inside ChatGPT is planned. Check the details in ChatGPT before relying on it.
