DocuSign is bringing contract details into Salesforce and Slack, two tools many sales teams already use all day. The new product is called Intelligent Agreement Management, or IAM for short. The idea is that your team can see agreement information without leaving the app where they already work.
What changed
Contract details have usually sat in loose files and disconnected folders. That can slow a sale and hide useful information. IAM aims to pull that information out and show it inside Salesforce and Slack. DocuSign says this should help deals close faster and help teams stay on top of renewals and obligations. The two companies have worked together for more than two decades.
Paula Hansen, DocuSign's President and Chief Revenue Officer, said agreements are "where revenue gets made or lost." She said they have lived outside the systems customers rely on every day for too long.
What to check
The source material does not say what IAM costs, when each customer gets it, or which plans include it. It also does not explain how the tool handles sensitive data. Any business that signs contracts should ask DocuSign that last question before switching. New tools can also disrupt routines, so plan time to train staff.
The takeawayBefore adopting IAM, ask DocuSign how it protects sensitive contract data and set aside time to train your team.
