Anthropic has added a set of security and admin tools to Claude Enterprise, its business version of the Claude AI assistant. The headline feature is a security center that checks a company's Claude settings against Anthropic's recommended setup. Admins can also sign someone out everywhere with one command, and block personal Claude accounts on company computers.
What changed
The security center is a new page in Organization settings. It covers chat, Cowork and Claude Code in one place, so teams no longer have to check setting by setting. For each control, it shows the current value, the recommended value where there is one, and a link to change it. It also marks settings that are new or recently changed.
Companies can download the page as a report for auditors. Anthropic says it is guidance, not a certification or a guarantee of legal compliance.
Control over access
- Admins can sign a member out on every browser and device with one Admin API call, without removing them from the organization.
- Enterprise admins can manage their own IP allowlist, which limits access to approved network addresses, without going through Anthropic.
- Admins can block personal and other outside Claude accounts in Claude Desktop on managed computers, which helps stop shadow IT (staff using unapproved tools).
The sign-out has limits. It does not end API keys, cloud sessions already running, or scheduled routines. The person can sign in again afterward.
Other additions
Inference hooks are now generally available. They send prompts and tool calls to a company's existing data loss prevention tools, so its current security policies can apply to Claude. Centralized management gives a parent company one admin console at admin.claude.com for settings such as single sign-on and directory sync across its Claude organizations.
Anthropic also recently announced a link to endpoint detection and response (EDR) software. It runs a company's security sensor inside the virtual machine Cowork uses on a person's computer. It does not cover Cowork sessions in the cloud.
Who it affects
These tools are for companies on Claude Enterprise, mainly their security and IT teams. The material does not give pricing or say whether every feature is available to all customers. Employees at those companies may notice they can no longer use a personal Claude account on a work computer.
The takeawayIf your company uses Claude Enterprise, ask your admin to review the new security center and consider blocking personal accounts on work computers.
