Chery, the Chinese carmaker, wants a robot in your living room. Its robotics brand, AiMOGA, unveiled MOBO on Nov. 3, 2026, at the Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China. MOBO is billed as its first home companion robot, and pre-orders are open globally.

What MOBO is

AiMOGA says MOBO has 22 degrees of freedom, which means many moving joints. It also has long-term memory and what the company calls natural interaction. Until now, AiMOGA built robots for commercial service. MOBO is its move into the consumer home market.

The robot runs on CheryMind, an AI model Chery built for machines that move in the real world. The company says it helps MOBO break down complex tasks, find its way around, avoid obstacles and interact at home.

The car connection

Chery says the same ideas power driving and parking features in its LUXEED cars, including NOA and Super Intelligent Valet Parking. Cars sense their surroundings and plan a path. A home robot does something similar indoors.

What is not known yet

  • The announcement gives no price.
  • It gives no ship date.
  • It does not explain what the long-term memory stores or how that data is handled.

Those gaps matter for any robot that lives in a home. Anyone thinking about a pre-order will want answers on cost, delivery and privacy first.

The takeaway

A carmaker is now selling a home robot for pre-order, but without a price, ship date or privacy details, there is little to judge yet.
