Siri on the Apple Watch is about to remember what it told you. Apple released an updated test version of watchOS 27.2 on Friday, four days after the first one. MacRumors expects the full update, and the other 27.2 updates, to launch next week.

What changed

Siri AI can now recall past conversations. You can ask about something it said before, like the restaurants it recommended last week. Apple also says answers should arrive faster on the watch. Other changes include:

  • Siri can draw on photos in Messages, Calendar event attendees, and your voicemails.
  • Results from Safari history and Reading List on your phone should get better.
  • Excluded Apps lets you pick which apps Siri, Search, and suggestions can use, from one setting on your phone.
  • New languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

What to know

The version released today is a release candidate, which is a near-final copy sent out for testing. Registered developers and public beta testers can install it from the Settings app on the watch or the Apple Watch app on iPhone. Everyone else will wait for the public release.

Siri AI is not available in the EU or mainland China. The material does not say which watch models are supported, and Apple has not confirmed a launch date in it. The update also includes bug fixes and security updates.

The takeaway

If you wear an Apple Watch, expect a smarter Siri next week, and check the Excluded Apps setting on your iPhone to control what it can see.
