Anthropic Gives Nonprofits New Claude Tools for Fundraising and Hiring

Anthropic has released a Claude for Nonprofits plugin, a set of ready-made skills and connections to other software, for every verified nonprofit. It is meant to take over routine work that stretches small staffs thin, from fundraising research to reporting. Anthropic says it built the plugin with about 30 nonprofits.

What changed

The plugin helps a team set up Claude with its own context, such as its mission, programs, communication principles and policies. Anthropic says Claude works best with that background and with clear staff rules for using it.

It also supports fundraising from research through reporting. Anthropic says the goal is to free staff for work only people can do, like managing relationships and deciding which funding opportunities to chase.

Who it is for

Anthropic says more than 25,000 nonprofits already use Claude. Over 75% of them have fewer than 10 seats, so most are small, local groups. The company expects this update to matter most to them.

Anthropic also plans to extend Claude Corps, its program that places early-career fellows in U.S. nonprofits, through a partnership with Taproot.

What it costs

The material does not give a separate price for the plugin. It does describe the pricing around it. Nonprofit plans launched last December with discounts of up to 75%. The Team plan now needs as few as two people, and Claude Code is included at no extra cost.

In September, Anthropic added a discount of about 90% for verified nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries. That brings standard Team seats to $3 per user per month.

What is not clear yet

The announcement does not say how the plugin is priced on its own, or when the Claude Corps expansion with Taproot will start. The testimonials come from organizations Anthropic chose to feature, so results at other groups may differ.
