Xiaomi started rolling out HyperOS 4 on November 3, 2026. It is the company's new phone software, built on Android 17, and it is headed to many Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones. Models as old as the 2022 Xiaomi 13T are on the list. Not every phone gets it today.

What is new

The look gets a redesign inspired by Liquid Glass. There is more lock screen customization, including very large clocks. Xiaomi also added new ways to organize the home screen and better support for floating apps and app orientations.

The speed claim is the one to note. Xiaomi says apps open nearly 20% faster after about a day of use. A background AI feature learns how you use the phone to make that happen. Google's Adaptive Battery, introduced on Android 9 Pie, worked in a similar way.

Why yours may be late

Updates like this arrive in waves. That lets the company catch major problems before they reach everyone. If the update has not appeared on your phone, that is normal. Xiaomi laid out the full schedule in a post on X, and the complete list of supported models is on its HyperOS 4 page.

The material does not say which models get the update on which dates, so check Xiaomi's list for your exact phone.

The takeaway

If you own a Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco phone, watch for HyperOS 4, and give it a few days if it has not shown up yet.
