WhatsApp is making it easier to find photos and videos you have sent or received, which could save time if you share family pictures or work files.
WhatsApp is changing how you find photos and videos in the app. The news comes from Reporteri, an Albanian-language outlet, which reported that the update makes it easier to find media you already sent or received in your chats.
The update is about search. Instead of scrolling through old conversations to find a picture or a clip, the idea is that finding it should now be simpler. That is the main point of the report.
How it works is not known yet. The material we have does not say whether there is a new button, a new filter or a new way to type a search. It also does not say whether the change is already live or still rolling out.
Anyone who keeps photos and videos in WhatsApp could notice it. That includes families who share pictures in group chats. It also includes small businesses that send images, videos or work files to customers and coworkers.
There is nothing to set up today. The change should show up in your app's next update, so it is worth keeping WhatsApp up to date on your phone.
Until WhatsApp or Reporteri shares more, treat this as a small but useful improvement that is on its way.
Keep WhatsApp updated, because a simpler way to find old photos and videos should arrive in an upcoming update.
