Summary.com has added a tool called EDGE AI that answers work questions using only business book summaries. You type a specific question, such as how to rebuild trust on a team, and get one answer built from several summaries. It is available now.
What it does
Soundview, Inc., the company behind Summary.com, announced the tool on October 26, 2026. Answers come only from its library of more than 1,500 Executive Book Summaries. Sample topics include delivering difficult feedback, leading a turnaround and keeping momentum through uncertainty. One example question is: "How do I turn a failure into a lesson my team remembers?"
Each answer links back to the summaries it draws on. You can read answers online or download them as PDFs. Soundview says its team still writes, edits and narrates every summary, and that work is the base for EDGE AI.
Who it is for and what it costs
Soundview built it for managers, executives, entrepreneurs and other professionals. EDGE AI is included with a Summary.com subscription. The announcement does not give a price or say whether non-subscribers can try it.
What is not known
The announcement does not explain how the answers are produced or how accurate they are. It mentions no outside testing. Since every answer links to its source summaries, reading those first is a sensible step before acting on advice about your team.
The takeawayEDGE AI gives book-based answers to work questions, but read the linked summaries before acting on any of them.
