Seraphis Group, a private investment group, says it has set aside $3 billion for artificial intelligence startups. It plans to invest the money over the next 12 months. The announcement came out of New York on October 24, 2026.
What Seraphis says
Seraphis puts long-term money into public and private markets. It already invests in technology, healthcare, financial services, infrastructure, real estate, and aerospace and defense. AI is now the main focus of its activity for the year. The group says it will look for strong businesses with a clear path to lasting value, not treat AI as one big bet.
It also says it will work alongside founders and management teams after a deal closes, helping with growth and operations. Hiring, landing the first real customers and building systems that hold up at scale are named as common problems for young AI companies.
The group draws a line that business owners can borrow. Plenty of startups can show an impressive demo. Far fewer can point to a hospital, a bank or an engineering firm that pays for the product and uses it every week.
What is not known yet
The announcement does not name any startups or say how big each investment will be. It does not say how many companies will receive money, or whether the $3 billion is new funding. Seraphis has generally kept a low public profile, so a public commitment this size is a change for the firm.
The takeawayWhen judging an AI tool for your business, ask who already pays for it and uses it every week, not just how good the demo looks.
