Samsung's new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra costs $1,400 and has the biggest screen Samsung has ever put on a tablet, at 14.6 inches. Until December 6, buyers can also get $200 off a pair of Galaxy Buds or a Galaxy Watch when they buy the tablet.
What you get
The tablet is only 5.1 millimeters thick. It comes with an S Pen, a stylus for notes and drawing. The screen has a resolution of 2,960 by 1,848, and CNET's review calls it "among the brightest displays we've tested in an Android tablet." Samsung says its MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip is up to 19% faster than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
- Water-resistant body with an Armor Aluminum frame
- Gorilla Glass screen protector
- A six-month trial of Google AI Pro
- Other free software trials
The full cost
Samsung pitches the tablet as a laptop replacement, but that needs a keyboard cover, and it is sold separately. The material does not say what it costs. The $200 deal applies to Galaxy Buds or a Galaxy Watch, not to the tablet. It only saves money if you already wanted one of those.
What is not known yet
The material does not give a ship date, storage options or the keyboard cover price. It describes the battery life as long but gives no hours. Those details are worth checking on Samsung's website before you buy.
The takeawayBefore buying the Tab S12 Ultra, add the keyboard cover to the $1,400 price and remember the $200 deal ends December 6.
