Samsung Wallet version 6.8.67 brings a bolder design to some Galaxy phones, and a normal app update may be all it takes to get it on yours.

Samsung Wallet has a new, bolder look, and it is showing up on some Galaxy phones now. The design appears in Samsung Wallet version 6.8.67. It is available on select Galaxy phones running One UI 9.0, which is Samsung's current phone software.

What changed

The update is a visual refresh of Samsung Wallet, Samsung's own wallet app on Galaxy phones. It lines up with the design Samsung is preparing for One UI 9.5. Samsung Members, another Samsung app, has also been overhauled. Together, the two changes suggest One UI 9.5 work is well underway.

Who it affects

For now, only select Galaxy phones on One UI 9.0 have it. That may grow. Samsung does not tie app changes to a specific version of the phone software, so more models could get the new look through a regular app update. You would not need a new phone.

What happens next

The full One UI 9.5 design is expected to debut on the Galaxy S27 series next year. A beta program, which is an early test version for volunteers, is expected by the end of this year.

Several things are not known yet. The material does not list which phones have the update. It does not say when it will reach more models, or exactly what has changed beyond the bolder look.

The takeaway

If you own a Galaxy phone, keep Samsung Wallet updated, since the new look may arrive as a simple app update.
