Podigee, a podcast hosting company based in Berlin, now works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Podcasters add it with one click, sign in with their Podigee account, and then ask their AI assistant to help maintain, publish and analyze their shows. The company says the connection is included in every current plan, starting with the free Launch plan.
What it does
The connection offers nearly 50 tools and covers the publishing process from the first draft to distribution. Podigee says an assistant can handle tasks like these:
- Write show notes
- Set chapter marks
- Schedule publication
- Check whether a show is live everywhere
Recordings are uploaded in Podigee itself. Assistants that run on your own computer, such as Claude Code or Codex, can upload the file directly. Podigee released an earlier version of this connection in April 2025, which let podcasters ask an assistant about their analytics.
The safety rules
Every consequential change runs as a preview first. The assistant shows what will change, and nothing happens until the user confirms that exact change. Each connection is tied to one Podigee account. Users pick its permissions, such as read-only or analytics only, and can revoke access at any time under Connected apps in Podigee.
Podigee also says it drafts and suggests, but does not post to social channels for you. CEO Mateusz Sójka put the rule this way: "Your podcast is your voice. So we were strict about one rule: nothing gets published or changed until you say yes."
Who can use it
The connection is not tied to one AI provider. It follows an open standard, and users choose the assistant they already work with. How far back analytics go depends on the Podigee plan.
- Claude: the connector is available on all plans. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it for the organization first.
- ChatGPT: the plugin is not limited to particular countries. In Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, administrators decide which plugins members can install.
Why it matters
Publishing an episode involves many small jobs beyond the recording itself. For a solo creator, that is time taken from the next episode. For a team or network with dozens of shows, it is a production line. Podigee ran a survey of 384 podcast producers and says half already use AI, most of them every week.
These numbers and claims come from Podigee, which says it has more than 11,000 paying customers and has operated since 2013. The announcement does not include independent testing, so how well the tools work in daily use is not yet known. The preview step and the permission settings are the parts worth checking first.
The takeawayIf you run a podcast on Podigee, you can try the assistant connection on any plan, and nothing changes until you confirm a preview.
