ShiftCam's ProRig+ adds physical focus, zoom and shutter controls to an iPhone filming rig. It starts at $159 on Kickstarter, with delivery estimated from December 2026.
ShiftCam has launched ProRig+ on Kickstarter. It is a frame that holds an iPhone for filming and adds real buttons for focus, zoom, shutter and shooting modes. Pricing starts at $159. Most backers should expect delivery in February 2027, according to the company's estimates.
ProRig+ is a revised version of ShiftCam's modular rig. Modular means you can add or remove parts to suit the job. The main upgrade is ProControl, a wireless remote that works with ShiftCam's ONE app. It lets you adjust focus, zoom and shooting mode without constantly tapping the phone screen.
The shutter button has two stages. Press halfway to focus, then press fully to take the shot. Controls on the rig's handle let you adjust framing, fine-tune focus and switch between supported shooting modes. That could make it easier to keep both hands on the setup.
The frame supports rotating handles, mounting points and ShiftCam accessories. You can build a light handheld kit or a bigger rig with lenses, filters, microphones and lights. Interchangeable bumpers fit each phone model, so you can keep the rig when you buy a supported new iPhone.
Bundles are also offered: the Filter Starter Kit at $362, Vlog Starter Kit at $399, Lens Starter Kit at $419, Zooms Starter Kit at $499 and Filmmaker Kit at $549.
You do not need a new rig to get the new controls. ShiftCam says owners can add ProControl as a separate purchase. The original ProRig came with a basic shutter remote. It is expected to ship in the coming weeks. The material does not give a price for the ProControl add-on.
ShiftCam says the original ProRig was developed with feedback from Apple. That was disclosed before the original launch. It is not a separate Apple approval of ProRig+. The campaign has earned Kickstarter's "Projects We Love" label. Still, every delivery date is an estimate, not a guaranteed shipping date, as with all crowdfunding.
ProRig+ offers real buttons for iPhone video from $159, but Kickstarter dates are only estimates, so plan for possible delays.
