Lyft has launched a paid membership called Lyft Go. For $9.99 a month, members get 8% of their ride spending back as Lyft Credits. The plan also includes DoorDash's DashPass, which removes delivery fees on food orders. Lyft announced it on November 5, 2026, and says you can join through the Lyft app starting that day.

What you get

The 8% back applies to Lyft rides, from the cheaper options up to Lyft Black. The credits can be used on future rides or on DoorDash orders. Lyft's Chief Rideshare Officer, Siddharth Patil, put it this way: "With Lyft Go, your ride to work or your ride home from the airport can help cover the cost of dinner."

  • 8% back in Lyft Credits on rides
  • DashPass, with zero delivery fees and lower service fees on DoorDash, worth about $120 a year
  • Three relaxed cancellations each month
  • Fare round-ups to charity, which Lyft says it will match

Is it worth it

Lyft says you need about ten rides a month, at an average fare of $20, to break even on the fee. If you ride less than that, you may pay more than you get back. The DashPass perk helps if you already order from DoorDash, since that part is worth about $120 a year.

A catch to know about

The rewards only flow one way. You earn credits by riding with Lyft. Spending on DoorDash does not earn you more Lyft Credits. So the plan suits people who ride often, not people who mostly order food.

The cheaper option

Lyft is also offering Lyft Go Core for $4.99 a month. It gives 5% back in Lyft Credits on rides but does not include the full DashPass benefits. For someone who mainly uses Lyft for rides, it may be the better fit, though the rewards are smaller.

What to do

A one-month free trial is available, so you can test the plan before paying. A simple check is to look at how many Lyft rides you took last month and what you spent. Then see whether you use DoorDash enough to value the delivery perk. That will show which tier, if either, makes sense.

The takeaway

Lyft Go pays off mainly for people who ride Lyft about ten times a month, so check your recent rides before signing up.
