Lumion's AI Agents Answer Customer Calls and Texts After Hours

Lumion says its AI agents answer calls and texts after hours and revive old leads. One career school reports 16 enrollments, but that is one customer's result.

A software company called Lumion says its AI agents can answer a business's calls, texts and website inquiries around the clock. They can also reach out to people who stopped replying long ago. In its one example, a career school got 16 enrollments from leads that had been quiet for about two years.

What it does

Lumion announced the approach on Oct. 27, 2026. An AI agent is a software program that talks with customers on a business's behalf. Lumion says its agents handle routine questions, record the details of each conversation, and help with follow-up. Staff can then review what happened and pick up where the agent left off.

The platform also includes a unified inbox. That means calls, texts and website messages appear in one place. Employees do not have to check several tools to see a customer's history, and customers do not have to repeat themselves.

The career school example

Lumion says AI outreach to leads at one career school, inactive for about two years, led to two enrollments in the first week. Another 14 followed over the next several weeks. The first two enrollments brought in a combined $10,000 in paid deposits. The school's name has not been shared.

Lumion itself notes that these numbers come from one customer. They do not show that other businesses will see the same results. Outcomes depend on how good the old leads are, how the business runs, and how prospects respond.

Who it affects

The pitch is aimed at businesses that miss contacts when no one is free. A call can come in after closing. A web form can arrive over the weekend. A text can sit unanswered while staff are busy. If the reply is slow, the customer may move on. Lumion says the agents are meant to handle the first stage of a conversation, not to remove employees from the process.

Getting started

  • Lumion says a business can begin using the agents in as little as two weeks.
  • The agents are set up around each organization's own information and processes.
  • After launch, use can expand to workflows for applications and onboarding.

Lumion says it has worked with more than 400 businesses and has managed and generated over $300 million in customer revenue through its platform. It also announced $10.7 million in total seed funding on June 16, 2025, led by TTV Capital. These are the company's own figures.

What is not known

The announcement does not give pricing. It does not explain how the agents handle difficult questions or what customers think of talking to them. Any business weighing a tool like this should ask for those details and test it on its own leads before expecting similar results.

The takeaway

If customers reach you when no one can reply, this kind of tool may help, but one school's results are not a promise for your business.
