Google is adding a dedicated business page to its Gemini app, along with the ability to connect Gemini to the apps many small businesses already use. The list includes Zoho, Xero, Shopify, Wix, Canva, Adobe and Dropbox. Google says the rollout starts in the coming days for all Gemini app users worldwide.
What changed
The new landing page is meant to be one central spot for daily tasks. Google says owners can build their brand, analyze finances and look at customer insights from there. Gemini can also connect to Google's own tools: Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace.
Two new skills stand out. The first is about marketing. Owners can upload a website, brand kit, fonts or color palettes, and Gemini remembers that style. Paired with Google's latest image model, Nano Banana 2.1, it can make matching visuals for a product launch or campaign without new uploads each time.
The second is about money. Google says Gemini can turn messy spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records into clear charts and interactive models in seconds.
Who it is for
Google says tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini to brainstorm products, manage customer feedback and review performance. The announcement points to a few examples:
- Josh, who runs Burger & Butcher in New Jersey, uses it with Google Business Profile to track local search and write weekend updates.
- Patricia Morais, a personal organizer in Goiânia, Brazil, uses it for customer service and content.
- Gumilang in Jakarta used it to shape the look of his sports and entertainment space, design merchandise and draft partnership proposals.
Larger companies are pointed to a separate product, Gemini for your business, which Google says offers central admin controls, data governance and enterprise-grade security.
What is not clear yet
The announcement does not mention price, so it is unclear whether any of these tools sit behind a paid plan. It also gives no exact launch date beyond the coming days. And it does not spell out what Gemini can see once an app is connected, or what it can change.
What to do
If you already use Zoho or Xero, you could try Gemini on your own records. Before you connect anything, read the permission screen and check what data Gemini will be allowed to reach. Start with an account that holds less sensitive information if you have the choice.
The takeawayGemini can now plug into business apps like Zoho and Xero, so check what access you are granting before you connect anything.
