The Gemini app now has a library of interactive visual lessons that let you explore a topic one layer at a time. Google calls them immersive explorations. You can find them in the new Gemini student hub by selecting "Try immersive explorations."
What it does
Each topic opens as a scene you can tap through. Examples include tracing trade routes on the Silk Road, looking inside a jet engine and studying the physics of lightning. Tap a label to dig deeper, moving from planet scale down to molecules and atoms. It suits anyone who learns better by poking around than by reading.
Languages and what comes next
The feature is available to all users in English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French and simplified Chinese. People who use other languages get an English-only version for now. Google says more languages are coming soon.
Two additions are also planned. You will soon be able to open these explorations directly inside a chat with Gemini. Audio narration is also on the way, to walk you through each layer.
Google's announcement does not give a launch date for those additions. It also does not say how many topics are in the library, or mention a price or paid plan beyond saying the feature is available to all users.
The takeawayOpen the Gemini student hub and choose "Try immersive explorations" to tap through topics like jet engines or lightning, layer by layer.
