DocuSign has launched a PDF Editor that lets you change a contract and send it out for signature without leaving DocuSign. It goes on sale November 2, 2026. For anyone who sends agreements often, the pitch is fewer steps and less confusion over which version is the right one.

What it does

DocuSign is best known for electronic signatures. The company says 95% of Fortune 500 companies use its signing platform. Today, getting a document ready often means editing it in one program, exporting it, and uploading it to another. Each handover can cause mistakes.

Graham Sheldon, DocuSign's Chief Product Officer, put it this way: "You shouldn't have to jump in between tools just to get a contract ready for signature." He said you can now edit your PDF, send it for signature, and manage the contract afterward.

The tool is aimed at teams in legal, sales, procurement and human resources. It supports English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

What is not known yet

The source material does not give a price, and it does not spell out the specific editing tools. It also does not say whether current DocuSign customers will get the editor as part of their plan. Small teams should check the cost before switching. Staff may also need some time and training to get comfortable with it.

The takeaway

If you send contracts often, look at the PDF Editor when it goes on sale November 2, but confirm the price and the training your team needs first.
