Apple's next big iPhone update, iOS 27.3, is due next month and adds a strength training feature called Gym Strength to Fitness+. 9to5Mac says it makes Apple One Premier, the most complete tier of Apple's subscription bundle, more appealing than before.
What changed
Gym Strength gives you a personalized plan. Built-in video demonstrations walk you through the moves, which should help newcomers. You can track progress in the app, and it works with Apple Watch. The 9to5Mac writer called a full strength plan a big gap in Fitness+ until now.
Who it affects
Apple One launched in 2019 with Individual, Family and Premier plans. Every plan includes Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+, Apple's cloud storage. Premier adds Apple News+, Fitness+ and more storage. The bundle starts at $21.95 a month.
The report also points to smart home features. Premier supports Apple Intelligence video summaries and clips with HomeKit Secure Video, which stores footage from compatible home cameras. A new HomeView product and other Apple Home accessories are described as almost here.
What is not known yet
- The exact release date for iOS 27.3 was not given beyond next month.
- The price of Premier was not listed, only that Apple One starts at $21.95.
- The report does not say whether Gym Strength needs Premier or any Fitness+ plan will do.
The takeawayIf you pay for Apple One or want to start lifting, check whether Premier now covers a gym plan and other services you already pay for.
