A community of finance chiefs has built an AI assistant that shows its homework. The F Suite, a peer group for chief financial officers (CFOs) and their teams, launched Floyd on Oct. 21, 2026. Every answer links back to the conversation or document it came from.
What Floyd does
Floyd pairs leading AI models with private material from inside The F Suite. That includes more than 500 peer discussion threads a year, more than 550 member-shared playbooks and templates, and more than 500 hours of event sessions. It also draws on member surveys about pay, headcount, operating costs (OPEX) and pricing.
Floyd also names the members who have dealt with the same issue, so a CFO can contact them directly. The company says answers come from the real decisions and data of more than 1,000 CFOs.
Why trust is the selling point
The launch leans on two surveys. In one by Wakefield Research, commissioned by Maximor, 86% of CFOs said their finance team had run into inaccurate or made-up AI data. In another by Datarails, 75% of CFOs said lack of auditability, meaning the ability to trace an answer, is the biggest reason they hold back from fully trusting AI.
"CFOs don't sign off on a number they can't trace," said Kiran Lingam, co-founder of The F Suite.
Who can use it and what it costs
Floyd is for F Suite members. It is included in membership at no extra cost. It runs in the Braintrust community's member platform. It also works inside Claude and ChatGPT through connectors, which are add-ons that let one tool pull from another.
Members are using it for several tasks:
- Benchmarking finance leadership pay
- Rewriting policies using ranges from peer companies
- Scoping ERP (core business software) choices before the first vendor demo
- Pressure-testing annual plans and board materials
Privacy and what is not known
The F Suite says member sessions are not shown to other users and that it does not use member data to train Floyd. The material does not say whether people outside the community can get access. It also does not include independent testing of how accurate Floyd is.
What happens next
A virtual launch event is set for November 5. Floyd debuted on stage at The F Suite National Summit at the St. Regis New York.
The takeawayWhen AI helps with money decisions, favor tools that show their sources, so an answer can be checked before anyone stands behind it.
